My Yoga Teaching Style

Yoga is a great tool for self-inquiry and as an instructor, I encourage students to turn inward during their practice to experience a meditation in motion and be an observer of their bodies and minds. That being said, I like to create classes with playful sequencing, and approach the class with a sense of honesty, and humor. I try to cater to the physical needs of the students while making sure to deliver a practice that intends to unify the mind, body and soul.

Different Types of Yoga I teach in the Gyms

There are so many different types of yoga out there, whether you want a more physically demanding class or an easy, relaxing, meditative class. With each style you'll find variations depending on the teacher. I recommend giving a few styles and teachers a try before settling on your favorite. Even if you're a seasoned yogi with a dedicated practice, flexibility and variation with any of the following styles could enhance your overall yoga experience and challenge you to break out of your comfort zone. These are the yoga types I teach:

Ashtanga yoga involves a very physically demanding sequence of postures, so this style of yoga is definitely not for the beginner. It takes an experienced yogi to really love it. Ashtanga starts with five sun salutation A's and five sun salutation B's and then moves into a series of standing and floor postures.

In the West, hatha yoga simply refers to all the other styles of yoga (Ashtanga, Iyengar, etc.) that are grounded in a physical practice.  Hatha yoga classes are best for beginners since they are usually paced slower than other yoga styles. Hatha classes today are a classic approach to breathing and exercises. If you are brand-new to yoga, hatha yoga is a great entry point to the practice.

Fitness yoga blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format. It overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style, which is accessible, understandable, and doable by individuals at any level of fitness. I personally teach an alignment-based style of fitness yoga and choreograph new flows every time, but I also like to hold some of the poses a bit longer after warming up.

Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with seated postures that are held for longer periods of time. Yin is a great class for beginners, as postures can be held from two  to five minutes. Yin can also be a meditative yoga practice that helps you find inner peace. The classes are relaxed, as you're supposed to let gravity do most of the work.

If you are looking for a private practice with me in a comfort of your house,

contact me to arrange a private class.

As I have a very busy schedule,

the fee for one hour of private tuition starts from £40.

Companies can offer yoga classes during lunch breaks or as a workshop and it's a great way to promote health and boost morale. Classes can be tailored to your company and can include chair yoga, and strategies for stress management through meditation and pranayama.

A great way to bring people together is through a specialized class or workshop. Workshops can be 1-4 hours long, as a one-time experience or over the course of several weeks. All you need is a group of people, and a large room or communal space.

If you have a group of people who are interested in participating in a yoga retreat, travel, experience new things and spend a week or weekend together, do not hesitate and get in touch and I will organize your dream retreat.

It doesn't have to a be a group of people. If you are going on a holiday on your own, with your family or friends, you can also book me to go with you and experience a unforgettable yoga adventure. I will plan the classes to suit your needs and mood and you will come back more refreshed, relaxed and fit.

Yoga for a

Bridal Party

Yoga can help women get through their pregnancy with minimal discomfort. It also helps the birth and post-delivery stages. Yoga classes help to boost circulation and also help with fluid retention. The stretching exercises relieve aches and pains. Yoga helps to prepare for the birth - it encourages breath and body awareness, reduces worry and teaches women to adapt to new situations.

Which can be started about six weeks after the birth, strengthens abdominal muscles and your pelvic floor. It also helps you to get back to your pre-pregnancy shape faster. Posture is also improved by yoga and this can help ease back problems.

Escape the stressful hustle and bustle of the city by stretching, breathing and relaxing joining our outdoor yoga classes. These classes highlight both the physical, mental and wellbeing benefits that yoga can bring to an individual and in turn how it can create a stronger sense of community.

A class focused on the basics of yoga including pranayama, meditation and alignment in the most popular poses. Yoga can also be fun, inspiring, incredibly beneficial and accessible to everyone, regardless of age or level of fitness.

A powerful one and a half hour flow class set to music followed by a 30 minute yoga nidra deep relaxation.

A class built around a chair to make yoga accessible to all. Great for people who work in an office all day, or for seniors. Chair yoga is a great practice for everyone, as it deepens flexibility and strengthens personal body awareness.

Laughter Yoga is a new form of exercise akin to internal jogging that promotes the use of laughter as a form of physical exercise. Its core premise is that your body can and knows how to laugh, regardless of what your mind has to say. Because it follows a body-mind approach to laughter, participants do not need to have a sense of humor, know jokes, or even be happy.

This session will calm the nerves on the big day (or day before) with yoga

for the bridal party. Class is tailored to the group.

Is an excellent way to go a bit deeper into your practice and develop strength, concentration and focus. It is a very relaxing practice.
